Sponsorship policy:

The HeadSmart™ Sports Concussion Programme (“Programme”) does offer advertising opportunities on a case by case assessment basis. The are no current sponsors or advertisers. The Partners and the SCP mutually agree to share backlinks & logo to assist with Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Any income that may be generated from advertising would be re-invested to maintain viability of the programme. The aim is to make concussion management tools freely available to all parents, coaches, athletes and others. Commercial viability (maintenance and running costs etc.) of the programme at this stage is provided by the director at this stage. In the long-term, viability would unlikely to be possible without some form of sponsorship. None of the content on the website is influenced by any partnership or funding source. All statements are scientifically valid and reference based. Referenced superscripts were removed after a trial period in the content of the web pages (cross reference journal article style) as it cluttered the page and gave the impression of only being applicable to medical persons. The editorial content on the website is not influenced by the funding sources and never will be. Our website hosts Google sponsored ads and links. We do not control the Google ads content. All banners and logos that represent our Partners, as described above – have been framed and labelled with the caption “Advertisement”. Advertisements for sporting headgear and mouthguards promoted to reduce the severity and incidence of concussion will NOT be accepted as science does not support this claim. The Programme displays advertisements and banners and no advertorials.
